The Darkest Romance 2 Song [Thailand]

The Darkest Romance เป็นผลงาน Solo-Project ของ ธิติวัฒน์ รองทอง หรือ แม็ก (Multi-Instrumentalist, Vocal) นักศึกษาจากรั้ววิทยาลัยดุริยางคศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล ชั้นปีที่ 3 โดยจุดเริ่มต้นของวงนี้ได้เริ่มจากที่ แม็ก ได้ตัดสินใจลาออกจากวงมะตะบะ ซึ่งเป็นวงดนตรีที่เดินสายประกวดจากจังหวัดอุบลราขธานี โดยวงมะตะบะเคยได้รางวัลชนะเลิศจากรายการ แมลงมันส์ เรียล 2 จัดโดยบริษัท จี เอ็ม เอ็ม มีเดีย จำกัด และเคยขึ้นแสดงคอนเสิร์ตในงาน แมลง ร๊อค เดย์ ครั้งที่ 2 ด้วย แต่เนื่องจากทางวงมีปัญหา ในหัวข้อที่ว่า “ทัศนคติในการทำงานไม่ตรงกัน” ทำให้แม็กตัดสินใจลาออกจากวงเดิม เพื่อทำโปรเจกต์ใหม่ด้วยตัวเอง
เนื่องจากว่าแม็กสามารถเล่นเครื่องดนตรีได้หลายชนิด เช่น กีต้าร์ เบส กลอง ร้อง คอรัส บีทบ๊อกซ์ ซินธิไซเซอร์ คีย์บอร์ด และยังสามารถเขียนเพลงได้เอง ประกอบกับทางมหาวิทยาลัยมีโครงการให้นักศึกษาทำอัลบั้มเพลงเป็นของตัวเอง แม็กซึ่งมีความฝันอยากจะทำอัลบั้มให้สำเร็จอย่างที่ต้องการ และอยากมีค่ายเพลงเป็นของตัวเอง จึงได้ทำอัลบั้มขึ้นมา โดยนำชื่อวงมาจากชื่อของอีเมล์ของตัวเอง คือ darkest_romantic@hotmail.com มาดัดแปลงใหม่ เพื่อให้เห็นถึง การอยู่ด้วยกันของความขัดแย้ง “ความหนักหน่วงและความสวยงาม” สามารถอยู่ด้วยกันได้ โดยเรื่องราวที่นำมาเขียนเพลงนั้น มีที่มาจากมุมมองของแม็กเองเป็นส่วนใหญ่
แนวเพลงของ The Darkest Romance แม็กเรียกตัวเองว่าเป็นแนว Emotronic/Metalcore และมีส่วนผสมของ Extreme Metal บ้าง แต่ก็มีอีกด้านหนึ่งของเขาเหมือนกันที่มีความสวยงามชองท่วงทำนองและเพลงช้าที่มีท่วงทำนองซาบซึ้ง สาเหตุที่เป็น Emotronic เนื่องจากว่า แม็กมีแรงบันดาลใจอย่างวง Thursday, A Skylit Drive, Yellowcard ผสมกับวงอย่าง Hadouken!, Fat Boy Slim และวงดนตรีสายอิเล็คโทรนิคอีกมาก จึงนำมาผสมกัน แม็กยังมีแรงบันดาลใจมาจากวงเมทั่ลที่หนักหน่วงเช่น Slipknot, Unearth, Zao จนกระทั่ง The Dillinger Escape Plan, Tool และ Dream Theater และเขาชอบวงอย่าง Hoobastank, Manic Street Preachers เป็นต้น ทำให้ในเพลงของแม็กมีอิทธิพลหลากหลายมากที่ถูกนำมาลองผิดลองถูก ผสมกันจนลงตัว
